How not to drive an Evo...

Was it just me who had to watch the vid a couple of times as I couldn't quite believe what I had just watched the first time?
 
Silly dump valve noise immediately before he loses it suggests lift-off oversteer, some 4wd cars are a bit prone to doing that, my STI5 Type R was. :o

That's the main reason why I'm reluctant to do track days.

Ironically it's safer (in terms of your wallet, nothing else) to do your "spirited driving" on a country B road, because at least then if some nobber takes you off the road insurance will be involved.

On the subject of stupid driving on the public road though, lets count the fails in this video. Before the video even starts we have:

* Drifting on a public road
* Choosing a road that has a massive ditch alongside it.

There are still plenty more to go though.

 
lol at that video.... so not how to pull a car out a ditch.

EDIT: ROFL they don't even get it near the end :( you use one vehicle to take the strain and the other to inch it upwards ffs not both pull at the same time.

What a complete bunch of morons. Who taught them to tow like that, excellent way to wreck both cars. While we're at it I'm sure that guys sun strip says something about a 4WD club yet he is not only driving like a dick but in 2WD mode.

It looks like a decently equipped 4x4 too. I noticed it has a snorkel and I think it's a Hilux surf in which case it should have a 4L mode and a diff lock.

My money is it belongs to the drivers dad.

On track days theres usually a gentlemens agreement where if the damage was caused by accident then the guilty party either pays for repairs or contributes substancially depending on the damage.

yeh sounds awesome, you sure it might not be the skyline in front of the M5, don't know what the skyline sounds like so I can't tell! :(
