How many times do you go on holiday a year?

Do you always go abroad?

Perhaps you have one huge holiday abroad and a few mini breaks throughout the year?

Where do you normally go?

With family, friends or both?

Do you have a fixed budget or do you go with the flow?

Just wondering. :)

I usually go once a year, half of the time it has been abroad (europe/USA) and half the time t'up north (lake/peak district, yorkshire dales), most of the time with family though I have been a couple of times with my ex girlfriend and her family.

Being a teacher, and only getting 13 weeks paid holiday a year, it is hard not to have more than one! Downside though - they always cost more.

Try to get away twice a year, either UK or abroad. Last year was Spain (Family), Amsterdam (Mates) and few UK breaks.

How many times do you go on holiday a year? Usually once or twice. This year I went to Spain for 5 days, and Bahrain for 8 days.

Do you always go abroad? Yes. I don't really count things in the UK as a holiday tbh. Just doesn't feel like one.

Perhaps you have one huge holiday abroad and a few mini breaks throughout the year? I have 1-2 abroad ones, and some mini breaks through the year.

Where do you normally go? Usually go to places in Europe and sometimes Jordan. I'll be going to Bahrain instead of Jordan a bit more though as my dad has moved there. He's an expat and moves a bit, but some of my mum's family live in Jordan so I will be going there as well with my mum.

With family, friends or both? Spain with friends, Bahrain with my sister to visit my dad.

Do you have a fixed budget or do you go with the flow? For the friends one it is a bit of a fixed budget as it's my own money. For the family ones it's not a fixed budget.

Just wondering. :)

i have been on holiday once in the last 3 years. and that was just a short one to wales! for 3 days, and it was with friends.

:/

Twice a year generally. Winter is spent snowboarding in the Alps with friends, summer is spent on European driving holidays with friends.

What with the tough economic times, one holiday next year driving around the Alps and Dolomites (Top Gear style)

last few years has been 1 a year, but extended and far away- Aus, NZ, HK, Thailand

before that it has been 1 a year usually for 2 weeks and lots of short trips to Europe throughout the year

Aye, I'm going away for a week in October, but I went to Amsterdam in April and planning a weekend with the missus in December.

just once a year for a week and at other times of the year will visit family.

Just got back from Venice actually. Much better weather than manchester!

I don't :(

Last time I went away was in Feb to Boston on a conference (via Amsterdam for a night). Before that, I hadn't left the English borders in about 2 yrs. I think.

I might grab a weekend away somewhere soon, though. Maybe a fortnight at Christmas.

1 big holiday every year. This is the first year I haven't been anywhere but I'm off to the Caribbean in either Feb or April of 09. Now and again, I'll sneak in a weekend in Europe to watch a GP.

A few times a year normally, in the summer usually 5 days at a friends villa in the south of France plus a holiday somewhere in Europe with friends for around a week.

Then around Jan/Feb skiing in the Alps or Canada for a week or so (family and friends normally).

Usually a couple of weekends away with friends or family somewhere in the UK.

Lastly a long haul with my Mum (BA staff - first class all the way!) for 3-5 days, this year it was Singapore, but in the past it has been south africa (twice), hong kong, beijing, tokyo, dubai etc.

Usually twice a year. Once in the UK with my family/friends of family around Easter and then somewhere abroad with my gf or friends later on in the year.

I don't usually shop to a budget. Usually the location comes first and then we see what's on offer there.

This year we rented a big country house near Oxford with family for a week. Then in three weeks, my gf and I are off to Montreal/Ottawa for ten days.
