How often do you go on holiday?

How many times do you go on holiday a year?

Do you always go abroad?

Perhaps you have one huge holiday abroad and a few mini breaks throughout the year?

Where do you normally go?

With family, friends or both?

Do you have a fixed budget or do you go with the flow?

Just wondering. :)

I've never been abroad in my life and don't have a passport. When I do go on "holiday" it's in the UK with usually family. If I ever do go somewhere abroad then it'll be to Egypt, Canada or Las Vegas depending on if I can get the cash together. :)

why not? often weekend trips away are cheaper than uk hollidays.

I've not been on holiday since 2005, when I went to the USA for 2 weeks. Plan to go somewhere next year, I'd like to drive to Europe.

You should certainly drive to Europe. Driving holidays are great. I'm thinking of doing a trip from UK down to Italy next year. Previously I've done the ring for a week and taken a place in France for a week and explored from there. Brilliant.

Have you ever looked at an Atlas? Rio isn't particularly close to Europe?
Ah missed that :p

Personally I think driving around Europe is hugely overrated and expensive compared to other holidays I have been on.
IMO of course.

My last holiday was with my ex girlfriend, we went skiing in Meribel, France.

That was Christmas 2005.

No fixed number a year; this year I went to Japan but prior to that was 2003 (S.F.) and twice in 2002 (N.Y. and Boston). Before that its way back in '91.

I would like to go back to Japan, but with everything getting more expensive that's not that likely for next year although 2010 maybe a possibility.

We go on holiday at least four times a year.

We like to stay in the UK and always visit Butlins holiday camps. Skegness is the best.

Hate going on holiday, and ever since I turned 18, I started going on holiday as little as possible. I'm never going on a family holiday again, and I will probably never go on a holiday again. There's nothing I particularly want to do in some other country/place that I can't do here and I don't understand paying loads of money and travelling miles and miles simply to experience better weather. It's ridiculous.

Somehow I think there's more than different weather, different foods, languages, cultures, places.

For example, I can't go see a desert in the UK.

Last time I went on holida was the algarve in portugal last year with a friend :(

before that was like 2 years gap and I went with my parents to scarborough lol...

7 5 day holidays a year usualy all in england as i have no want to go abroad
altho going to america next year
spend what i liek but im no silly either

God you lot don't get away much, I aim for 3 or 4 decent breaks in a year (I work pretty hard, so in return I take lots of time to get away).

Been in Morocco, Canada and Spain this year (and a few overnight trips on Eurostar but they hardly count). Next big one is South Africa for 4 weeks in December, can't wait...

EDIT: With friends, always. I don't worry about budget too much, most holiday's work out quite reasonable. Morocco was cheap as chips for a week, Canada I had friends to stay with and flight were pretty reasonable to it was pretty cheap for 10 days skiing. South Africa is costing me a fair whack but it'll be worth it, seeing lots of different places, off on safari and it's my first long break (3/4 weeks) since I saw the ashes in Australia...
