Well my mum makes sure someone hoovers the house once a day, completely annoying, have to get the hoover out, plug it in, go all round the house with it.

Me I don't see the point in this, considering we don't wear shoes in the house it seems a waste of time, twice a week seems about right to me.

How often do you hoover ocuk?

we do ours once a week as per the house cleaning rota, then once a month when my turn rolls round I like to do what I call "a proper hoover" where I go all in to the cornors and use every attachment!

I have two black labs and live in the smallest terrace house you'd probably want to live in, but I only hoover when I feel it needs doing rather than for a the sake of it.

Women develop a routine, especially with dependant children and just get on with it. Nothing wrong with hoovering everyday, but it's always when there's something decent on telly!

Once a day!!

I vacuum about once a week. I live on my own, with no pets, so my flat stays pretty clean.

I vacuum downstairs daily, as we have two dogs, two cats and two cockatiels; they generate an upsetting amount of dust, fur and feathers. Kitchen floor gets mopped only once or twice a week, though.

When I lived alone in a flat with no pets and no carpets, I vacuumed maybe once a fortnight at most.

When we had our dog, it was once a day. Now it's probably once every two to three days or when it needs doing.

OCD's a terrible thing.

I do it when the bits on the floor start to annoy me or when I'm having visitors.

I'd do it more often but the several hours of tidying up what's on the floor to start with is a chore :p

It depends if it needs doing.....!!!

when we first lived together and we had no kids and were both at work all day the house could survive without being hoovered/vacuumed for a week or more, now with three kids and being at home all day, twice a day, and it still looks a mess when we retire to bed. when I say mess I mean bits on the floor not food or toys etc.

bullit

When it looks like it needs it or have people coming over that might be offended by my squalid living conditions.

Easier to move house...

But, I have an antec 902 so everything pretty much gets sooked into that...

Ok, I hoover when i can, I just hate emptying it cos i sneeze like hell
