how old is too old for gaming

my grandad plays his xbox (and PS2before that) at 60, you're never too old for gaming :D

have to admit my gaming has dropped a lot in the past few years, and i tend to play more sociably now, ie playing CoD4 with some of my fellow staff at games workshop (and some of the regulars) than i did before (pwning random newbs)

I will ALWAYS play games, on whatever format they develop in. My god i am looing forward to all those future platforms and games to come out in the next 50 years. My sons will play games too and we will all rejoice in every new console launch. Of course everying in moderation. When I play them less as I get doddery I can wtach my boys play games. sawwweeeeet. Just need to get mrs in to games !! :)

im 33 and im still playing. though my hands are starting to ache after the larger sessions of GH3 / RB and i do tend to make rants about the young whippersnappers without jobs who kick my ass on BF :D

You'll never stand a chance playing online with a gamer that sits on the dole all day, they have the time to perfect.

When I was 12/14 my mum always moaned at the hours I put in gaming, " You've been on that long enough tonight, I hope your not doing this still when your 20". I'm now 25 and still gaming strong, I dont have as much time working full-time granted but this just unleashes more money for games and a better system :D
Though I also spend of lot of time and money on film/movies these days in terms of new releases at the cinema and blu-ray dvd's with a nice TV to run them on, which I wasnt so interested in back then.

You'll have to keep us all posted on how that goes, might force me to play it too!.....Bought the Special Ed and not touched it! :p

Check out my blog for progress, Just updated with my current progress. :) Considering I've just started the challenge, I'm happy with it. A long way to go though :D

As long as they don't take over your life I don't see the problem with being old and playing computer games, adults need a bit of leisure time too ya know.

Theres nothing wrong with playing video games, aslong as you don't play them too much. Games are extremely complex these days and ingage your mind more than watching a movie or some wannabe pop star program on tv. Just tell your GF to stop wasting her time reading gossip mags and watching soaps. See how she likes that.

My dad is in his late 50's and plays pc games. He loves it as he gets to chill out for a couple of hours a night, except for the fairground part in COD4 on Veteran, he was getting really frustrated at that as he died about 30 odd times before getting passed it :D

Play games until you reach a stage in your life where they either:

1) Are no longer fun anymore for you or

2) They are a detriment to your quality of life to the point where you have other responsibilities to think of.

i dont think ill ever stop gaming, i can definitely see myself playing less and less as i get older but can't imagine not playing at all :o
