how old is too old for gaming

20. If you are still playing games past this age you are a sad individual.

My plan this holiday, Dead Rising every achievement.

So chances are, That's the game I'll be playing on my death bed :D

You'll have to keep us all posted on how that goes, might force me to play it too!.....Bought the Special Ed and not touched it! :p

As for the OP, my old mans 55 and has a PS2, 360, Wii and plans to get a PS3 soon. So if he's anything to go by, i'll never stop playing games either! :D

No age is too old, although time spent playing games would usually decrease significantly as you get older.

A lot of the age based stigma attatched with gaming comes from there still being a few generations that didn't grow up with game. Just die already. :p

Hi,

Im 39 and Play Mainly on my PC and PS3 now but less so than when I was younger but the wife is 42 and shes "inherited" the xbox 360 since I got the PS3 and she plays on it most nights. And your never too old to game as long as the body is willing that is, cant see a day i will ever stop!!:D if I remember on here a past thread on this subject turned up a few retired forum members in there 60's.

Youve all read the news stories of old peoples homes getting Wii's for the residents you try telling them they are too old to play and see what response you get ahahaha :)

Cheers,
Hugest

dude in life you do what makes you happy. as long as you dont make yourself ill or anyone around is in direct bad effect.

WHAT!?
One of the best games ever made for me.

I got the standard version on release and like most, i just couldn't get my head round the Save Game system. Out of frustration with it, i sold it but a while back i bought the Special Edition from MM and just haven't touched it.

I'm finishing Halo 3 and then i will i swear. You can check up on me on XBL :p:D

I'm kinda going off gaming a little bit at the moment. Because it's sunny i would rather go out for a mess about on my mountain bike, go for a drive or just chill about at the beach.

I'm sure when fall comes around it'll be a different story!

You're never too old for gaming.

I know a number of "older" people who play games, including some over 60's who play a lot.

I think what does change is your taste in gaming, most of the older people I know who play tend to play either more sociable games (MMORPG's) or casual games.
