How old is your e-mail address?

Had my ISP's email since I joined them around 2000 ish, so about 7 years. Although they did change from "cableinet.co.uk" to "blueyonder.co.uk", now they are probalby going to change to "virginmedia.co.uk" or something :)

I got an account with Yahoo when they first brought out free e-mail accounts. It's so old it has a 3 character password :D

My Hotmail account was created in 1999 but I don't use that for email any more just for Windows Live. My ISP email address I would guess is about 6 years old.

Any of you old schoolers ever played Ultima Online? It was the first MMORPG ever as it launched in 1997, I played it for an average of perhaps 4 hours a day from 1998 to 2004, absolutely amazing game but christ I must have actually spent hundreds of thousands of hours playing it :)

You do realise that 100,000 hours is equivalent to over 11 years of continuous game play?

My BT email address has got to be at least 10 years old. Man i havnt used outlook express in ages.

Hotmail is about 5 years i think.

My original NTL one is still active. That must be around 8 years old. I don't like to use it these days (it's a stupid address, I was only 12 when I picked it) but it's still active and I still get a few legitimate emails through it. I actually had this address from before I even had broadband, it was from NTLs dial-up service years ago.

My Hotmail (still in use every day) was created one Thursday night when I stayed back at College to use this new fangled thing called "the Internet"

The year was 1996....beat that!

I made my hotmail account in 2001, that makes 6 years.

By the way, how long does a hotmail account have to be inactive before it's closed?

My Yahoo address was created in 1997, when I was at college. I now use Hotmail mainly. The Yahoo one got spammed like crazy so I left it along for a long time (assuming it'd get deleted due to inactivity). I logged back in recently and it hardly gets spam at all now :)

9 Years as I got a new PC in 98 and had an email address which came with the computer. Well the computer company had its own pay as you go ISP. I use it on and off, but mostly full of spam. I regulary use my freeserve email address but thats like 2001 or 2002 from what i remember, when i got DSL in my area.

There's some quite old email addresses lurking about then, I in my youth, stupidly named my first hotmail & msn email address with the year '2003' in it, thinking I'd be good because it was only 2002.

Had that up until this year and then jumped on the @live.com email address and now simply have my name. I use that email address daily, I have a gmail, and personal domain one which I usually forget to check.

My main one is about 3 years old now. I doubt I am going to change it in the future (I am going to renew my domain for a further 10 years, so that will be fine). There is too much trouble changing the e-mail address on everything I am signed up for.

When I first began to think the Internet was good (I have only been using it for about 5 years now, and the first few I wasn't interested), I signed up for about 20 Yahoo! e-mail addresses. I think I thought it was really unique and that nobody had done it before. :p (Some of these addresses will still work, so maybe 4 years old).

Now I just use one main one, and then a couple of other ones for dubious things (things I will probably be spammed due to signing up for).
