How old

67, 55, 72 and 53 from four different pictures, all taken within a few days of each other.
 
took a selfie just for this and it guessed 23 when im 26 and will be 27 in just under a month so not a great guess but wrong in the right way!
 
Tried a few old photos:

Age 21 - Guessed 24 (this was a fair shout as I hadn't cut my hair in months and was taken after a massive bender)
Age 23 - Guessed 35-40 across a few taken at same time
Age 25 - Guessed 44 (WTF?)
Age 32 - Guessed 34 (I don't get it - since the above photos I'd gained a lot of grey hair!)
Age 32 - Guessed 42

The ones in my early-mid 20s are definitely 'wrong' because that was the time I generally looked my age based on feedback from others. There's no way I looked 35+ in those photos. I then started going grey and put on weight so more understandable to be called 40 in early-mid 30s.

I shan't show my wife this site as it claims she is a 48 year old male in a photo taken when she was 33 :eek:

useless I've an old face and it guessed me 23 years older it say my 12 year old niece was 63 and my 19 year old niece was 48!

If I randomly guess 50 peoples ages chances are the randomness will sometimes be pretty close to the real number for a few of those people.

What would happen if you made a website like this with a random number generator 'guessing' the ages? If one in every 50 people who try it get a number close to their age, think it's impressive and only those 1 in 50 pass the link on, post it on facebook/twitter/whatever, you get a lot of site traffic for little to no real effort.

over 30% accuracy, mildly interesting, over 50%, okay, 90% accurate, great... <10% accuracy... may as well be a random number generator.

I agree but since you can't actually enter the correct age anywhere the self learning capacity of the app is 0 thus a useless app.
 
I'm 44, and frequently get told I look good, for my age, when I enquirie as to how old they think I am, I get a reply of mid 50's! :/


That site has me at 56.......
 
Tried some from facebook, I got 27, 31 and 40 (?!). Used one that's a selfie face on, I got 16... and then just took one to try with PhotoBooth, not great lighting and hair completely flat and got 20. I'm 24. Not a bad variety...
