

I always find these kinds of threads funny, 30+ people post saying it's not particularly close if not way out. 3-4 people get an accurate read and think it's impressive.
If I randomly guess 50 peoples ages chances are the randomness will sometimes be pretty close to the real number for a few of those people.
What would happen if you made a website like this with a random number generator 'guessing' the ages? If one in every 50 people who try it get a number close to their age, think it's impressive and only those 1 in 50 pass the link on, post it on facebook/twitter/whatever, you get a lot of site traffic for little to no real effort.
over 30% accuracy, mildly interesting, over 50%, okay, 90% accurate, great... <10% accuracy... may as well be a random number generator.
