Heh, I got a planning application for a bunch of these things in Wales a few months ago. They seem like a bad idea, I can't speak for everyone else but I certainly wouldn't want to be stuck in a little tent in the middle of Wales with no windows & only one door/escape route with my family...

On top of this you could leave them two to their own devices and go an get the kids muddy... you could have a laugh while they're talking about random crap guys couldn't care less about...
You earn brownie points for making an effort with the MiL & looking after the kids... use that for what you will

I think that the weather + the mother-in-law + small space is the deal breaker. If the weather is OK then everybody has personal space. If the weather is poor then you need to really get on with the people you are with.
If the weather is rubbish then we will just spend our time driving around looking for "stuff to do" as the children won't have access to the DVDs, toys, games and space that they have at home.
The weather forecast is sun until the day we arrive and sun the day after we go, just thunder and rain for the exact days we are there !
Looks like your gonna be stuck in one big tent room keeping two kids occupied under the critical eye of your mother in law. I can't think of anything worse especially if the weather turns for the worse and there's no escape.
Take plenty of alcohol, some good reading books and if all else fails you can always sneak out the tent for a combat w**k and come back feeling all tense free.

Pay an assassin to kill your mother in law. She will be too traumatised to want to go away.
Edit: Sorry I mean your wife will be too traumatised. If she isn't too tramuatised have the father in law killed as well. If she is still not too traumatised divorce her on the basis she is a cruel unfeeling woman.
