How on earth is my logitech sub as loud as my monolith?

How would it damage it?

what does the switch do?

I'm sure Tom from BK said it was ok to bung the port and it wouldn't damage it
Because the speaker needs to move air out of the port, if you plug the port there will be additional pressure acting on the cone.

I can't say whether or not that will be an issue but that's the logic

Tom from BK said plugging the port may "speed up" the sound, not sure what that means, he said it is "ok" to plug it.

Also, does suspension stiffness effect performance? The Eminence is VERY slack, when you push it slightly there is no stiffness.

I'd say upgrades double. IE I went from pc plus to pc ultra. It was better but not massive upgrade. Price difference back then wasn't that much ( now it is)

I'd be looking at sb4000 or pb4000 or maybe you try out 3000.

I'm beginning to want to upgrade too, I miss impact of the big Cs ultra. Sealed doesn't pressurise the room like the ported ultra did. Has plenty of output and it's great for music though

Just depends on how jump you want, you'll lose money so if it's like going from a 1.8 to 2L it's hardly worth losing a lot just for small gain.

Think my ultra 13 was £1200, and the old C's ultra £780. Those were new. Unfortunately stupid price...sb4000 is £1800. So £600 more for same sub bah

The Monolith Plus cost me 300 quid. Brand new they're 600.

So unless I find I'm wadded, it's going to be small gains by the sounds of it.

You shouldn't lose a lot of money then if any at all. Maybe make profit?

Then decide if you want sealed of ported. I had both and changed to sealed, but old room was tiny, so SB worked better. In the new one ported should be fine, but still concerned with music so not sure myself if was starting from scratch.
Wouldn't mind dual SB ultra 16 but bit big sb4000 will fit under the TV screen. Couldn't justify so much Dosh on subs that would be £4000+

Then keep what you have. If something like svs pb-3000 or sb-3000 is out of your grasp stick with monolith plus.

The problem is you have a good sub a upgrade is going to cost you. Not like you have 6" subwoofer pc fart box

It would be such fun building subs as a job, wish I kept up the wood tech at school and continue with wood work. And took an interest in maths.
