How poor is local radio

Oh god, Signal Radio is dire. When I was working at T.H.E. they had Signal piped throughout the building. It was like bloody Chinese water torture.

I know for an absolute fact from a couple of gay mates that worked there that most of the programming was gay orientated.

Welcome to Lincs FM!

Last year i delivered to one of their stand in DJ's,according to him the entire cast of Lincs FM presters are Homo's bar one.
Lincs FM also have this really brilliant thing where you can turn the radio on at say, six forty five am, and hear the same song as you heard the last 4 days at that time.
How fantastic is that?.......................Not.
The only radio i listen to is talksport.
The only way i know about lincs FM is its on the alarm clock and the missus has it on at the far end of the room so she has to get out of bed to turn the rubbish off.
 
Those of you youngsters who are worried that you like radio should get a DAB radio and find 6 music, possible the best radio station in the world.

Almost every time I have it on I end up on itunes for some classic track I've not heard in years, or something new.
 
I have taken a real shine to Wave on *** SOuth Caost this last month, esp as I can't get Magic round here. Otherwise It is R1 for me. Still the latter just for Moyles though in the mornings.
 
The weekday mornings bloke on our local radio is simply dreadful - terribly cringe worthy! Ego-testical, fantatically overweight nobber trying to charm his female co-presenter for the best part - still, our dogs seem to like it though :D

However - come the weekend and they don't half bang out some real classic 90s and early 00s dance tunes! You wouldn't believe it! :D
 
I had the misfortune to listen to about 10 minutes of Invicta this morning while getting ready for work, I actually think my IQ has gone down as a result. Talk about dumbing down, they talk to the audience like they are children (on the morning show anyway).
 
The local radio station we have here is Buzz Fm and that is probably the single worst station I have had the misfortune to listen to! They try to dub themselves as sing a long radio which I think Century Fm advertised a while ago.

I just tend to listen to Radio 1 or Juice Fm normally.

No it isn't. They play the same songs over and over despite being a station that plays old songs (so not limited to new/chart music) and the ads are so, so, so, so annoying.
 
My local is Trent FM, there always going on about Nottingham being the "worlds best city" and there morning show is possibly the most annoying thing in the world, Some fat bird and an old man going on and on and on about rubbish...the worst part is there names which they like to play with a stupid jingle "Jo and Twiggy"!

"playing todays best mix from the 80's, 90's and today" !!! do they all play this jingle?


They also have a helicoptor called thunderbird 1 and aload of big breasted woman driving around in 4x4 cars handing out tacky stickers to put in your car and going around places of work recording short clips and handing out more rubbish and marketing it as "naughty at 11:30" lol!!

yup, ours says this too. And the car they drive around places in is called black thunder. They must all be contracted to promote utter crappy music too
