How prepared are you for January exams?

Only have 1 exam. But I have three demonstrations and an end of semester viva for my final year project so it'll be a busy time :(

7, in 11 days. i hate civil engineering. ploughed through 3 of them already that i know i should pass. im not going to 1 and im currently not doing a lot for the other 3

Revision wise I'm going through topping up required readings that I missed, then I plan on reading my lecture notes, doing a little further reading to round out my knowledge then do practice papers - I didn't do any of that last year and for the first time ever got lower exam marks than my essays. I'm hoping practicing questions will push me back up to where I need to be.

I just finished my exams but I could not study either. I cant study in my room due to various room mates constantly dancing away to late 80's dancing music, And I cant study at the Student learning center because it is full of hot girls who I cant resist hitting on.

What do you do at Notts mate?

Politics and International Relations BA - what are you studying?

Neuroscience so lectures usually in QMC or in the auditorium on Uni. Park nr. Cotes building.

Went to the 'funny farm' the other week at the venue (as it's now called - groan) and some fella was studying Politics. The guy asked him a simple question about labour/conservative and the poor guy froze up. Must have been stage fright. Haha.

Any idea what the guy was called/looked like? You'd be surprised/shocked by how many people studying politics either have no opinions or don't know the most basic things - a lot of people seem to be doing it to do a law conversion <sigh>

Errrr, I'll ask my mate. He has a photographic memory, even when drunk. Much like my course, a lot of people piggy backed onto medicine after the first year, something they're really trying to clamp down on.

It's just a pity when there are people who potentially really wanted to study on your course who didn't get a place because a dropout lawyer/medic decided to pick it as second best.

Part of the reason I want to get a first is to differentiate myself from the raft of people who'll be getting seconds and don't care about the degree.

I've got January AS Physics, Chemistry & Maths exams :( and aren't prepared at all.

Can I be bothered to revise? No not really, especially as the gals I'd be out with don't have any Jan exams

I'm in my 3rd year at Notts and have two exams - The CIA and American Foreign Policy, and Sociolinguistics. I can't work on them until January because I just can't focus.

Who's teaching CIA and Foreign Policy? Sounds like an immense module!!

I'm completely prepared for all the exams I'm due to take in January. True there aren't any, but that's besides the point, I'm prepared!

Anyone know where i could get my hands on past papers, my uni dont give them out and i'd love to get my hands on questions similar to what i'll be answering. Only got 7 practice questions :(

Its 1st year comp science. The modules are Introduction to Computer Science and Introduction to Multimedia if that helps my chances.

*Another thing, im probably breaking up with my girlfriend this week, not of my choice, as far as im concerned thats 4years of my life wasted. Completely heartbroken like because shes all i want and its not that she doesnt want me, its just being together for 4years when shes only 19 (im 20, we were same year in school.) Tried my hardest to revise and i just cant at all, im constantly thinking about what i should do and its completely messing my brain up. Boy did this happen at the wrong time :(

Got module 2 of Computing AS, module 1 of French AS (I didn't choose to do french...) and the play timed essay for English GCSE... not to worried about any of them.

I have a Media module in Jan, and a Psychology module in Jan as well. :(

Media... I doubt I'll actually bother doing anything for, but Psychology I'll need to spend quite a while revising, and practicing exam technique cause I suck at the 18 mark questions.

That's a couple of my AS essays off my back when I sit all my subjects at the end of the year. :)
