Hi guys

I had my first bit of eBay trouble t'other day with an item not as described.

I contacted the seller and got an apology and message from Paypal that I had been refunded the same day so I sent the item back recorded delivery.

I checked my Paypal account today and I still haven't been refunded, apparently Paypal are holding the funds until Thursday...is this normal?

I don't understand why they aren't sending them on to me, but I haven't had any experience of the system except for buying things so is that normal practice...?

Yeah it's pretty normal. It's just so they can make sure that the seller has sufficient funds to cover the refund, and then when they have confirmed that, they will forward it to you.

Plenty of information on the Paypal site about refunds and funds being held.

I had an item i bought removed by ebay after i had paid £120 ,paypal were pretty good and i got a quick refund ,you can ring them quite easily and this speeds things up ,use the number on the say no to 0870 website

Usually, PayPal holds the money until the seller confirms they have received the item or PayPal check it themselves if the seller hasn't confirmed it.

if the refund is showing as pending in your account then that's fine, if there's nothing in the account you'll need to e-mail / call PayPal.
