As title.

Is it neccesarry to add extra security like antivirus/antispyware/firewall or will it be safe enough behind a netgear router and just as installed?

I won't be using the network for wireless (disabled), but may have to use a powerline adaptor (if that makes a difference).

it'll be safe behind your netgear router but the router won't stop viruses and spyware. Generally though these require user interaction so if you don't mess around with your WHS by executing those crazy exe files they it'll be fine.. but its better to be safe than sorry..

I would get AntiVirus. Avast! do a WHS package (Its a server OS so AFAIK no-one does free ones). It integrates into your WHS console and notifies you about all the connected machines avast status.
