How should I destroy my mouse?

Logitech told me to cut off the cable of my G15 keyboard when I emailed them for a replacement after it started to suffer from the old key wear problem. I told them it was my only keyboard and I couldn't do that as I needed it. They then asked me for some pictures of the job code next to the keyboards serial number. Two pics later and a shiny new G15 was on its way. :)

Forget about that idea,,,,my Mrs just read that and smacked me over the head with my Microsoft mouse,,,,,my head hurts but mouse is fine!!!!!
 
crossbow!!!! hang the mouse up against a wodden fence, then line a good shot up with a crossbow, and shoot it, then photo and leave it there, lol, i also really want to see the pic!
 
The job is done! since I just saw Batman this weekend I decided to turn my mouse into a Batman lookalike shortly before opening it up to see how it works!

I got a response from Logitech to let me know that the MX1000 is an EOL product and they have offered me a MX Revolution or a G9 Laser.

I've had the MX Rev before so will accept that methinks :D
 
Should have filled it with mentos then poured diet coke over it.

Ive just sent a support ticket about my MX518 as the scroll wheel doesnt work anymore >_< i can click with the wheel but it doesnt scroll (still moves, just no movement on screen) fingers crossed i get the same service you guys have recieved
 
Arnt logitech legally bound to recycle the old mouse under WEEE directives, rather than suggesting its destroyed and then thrown in the trash to go to landfill.

Is the Lithium Ion battery removable in the MX1000, or is it built in.... You dont want to go cutting into a Lithium battery. If you short it out, and it overheated, it can give off toxic fumes.

Dont get me wrong, Logitech RMA is great, and very quick... but Im sure they should be following WEEE procedures by now :)
