I have
2 x 128Gb M4 SSD's
1 x 60GB OCZ agility 3
1 x WD green 2TB drive
32GB 2133Mhz RAM - maybe set up a RAM drive
The original plan was to install Win 7 on the M4's in RAID0 and use the WD HDD for storage
Then I bought the 60Gb OCZ to cache the HDD, but ended up changing my mobo to one that doesn't support it, so it is spare now
Option 1
Install the OS on the RAID0 M4's and use the OCZ 60GB drive for cache/tmp files/pagefile
Good as I can use the native intel ports sata3 for RAID 0 as they are faster, but seems a waste of a SSD for the OCZ
Option 2
Install just the OS on 60Gb OCZ drive, use the raided M4's for Apps and HDD for storage
Seems the most efficient option, but then I would lose using the 2 native intel sata3 ports for the OS as the M4's would use them, and I would be using the AS Media sata3 port which is slower?
Intel sata3 551/523MB read/write
ASMedia 402/367MB read/write
reviews indicate that there is quite a difference
Hmmm, choices choices
