If I recall correctly it's actually more expensive to give them the death penalty than put them in prison. I think it's mainly due to the extra legal costs with appeals.

Believe it or not the death penalty costs more to society than keeping them in prison for 15 years.

Also what do you do if someone 'probably but not definately' committed the crime?
 
i read about this in the paper this afternoon, what kind of people have in there heads ideas to do thkings like this to another human being...... the fact that the only reason he didnt run away is because he said he loved them and they were the only family he had!although his death was tragic and they couldnt even jjust leave him dead they had to carry on, i hope he is at peace now and i hope he can see what they get for being such vile animals

it really makes me angry how prisoners have stuff a lot of people with jobs dont.

i know loads of people without blu ray players a lot of people still have crt teles!
 
instead we will get to pay thousands to keep them alive in jail, then let them out to terrorize again, - we will put all effort and money into protecting them and giving them a "humane" lifestyle instead!!!!! No wonder this country is going to rats!

Idiocy aside, I read about this the other day and it's quite disgusting. The poor man was let down by the authorities and, well, humanity in general.

15 years in a cushy prison where they get the latest games consoles, games, tv's, pool tables etc all handed to them from our tax money?

What on earth have they got to worry about lol.

All 3 of them should be given to a pharmaceutical company for LD50 testing in my opinion
