How smart are you?

Of those who got the ratio question right in Maths...how did you do that? The numbers were so large and so similar that I thought it had to be a calculator question.

for the ratios, it has to be one of the first to because the last digit is 7/7 *5 and *2

then add them up and see which makes the right total?

Fairly simplistic test if you know the answers (they all are if you know enough so bit blinkered I guess to call it simple), slipped up on one question so got 19/20. Honestly though, if you didn’t get higher then 17 + which seems to be the average for this who’ve posted their scores, then it’s no big issue.

Not everyone is as good with English. Heck, my spelling and grammar is appalling. For this who’ve tried this test and scored low and are too embarrassed to post your score – don’t worry. Just use it was a way to try and increase your awareness and learn from it.

18 but I guessed the taciturn one and it worked out... My guessing didn't work so well on the other word, think it meant greed?

Seemed a bit pointless though, still, wasted a few minutes...

16 on English, my spelling let me down, as did my vocab on one :/

20/20 in maths however, love Maths :D

I got 19/20, never heard of taciturn before :(

and I refused to google it like most people on here probably have :D

Just seen that on the BBC News web site that the "How smart are you?" English test is top of the most popular stories list!!

Is this the infamous OCUK effect in action?!!

You just divide by the ratios combined, ie it was 5:2 so you divide by 7, then multiply by 2 and 5 to get the answers.

I got 18/20 on the Maths one because I wasn't reading properly and clicked the wrong buttons twice (when I knew the actual answers).
