I agree, I thought it would be as simple as bombing some sites but Iran has an actual fully equipped Army, not to mention missiles-galore ready to strike neighbouring countries (also known as Israel).

I'm not sure how we 'deal' with them, if thats the right term.

quite surprised at the amount of sustained attacks by different organisations against Galloway that he always seems to manage to rebuff.

Pentagon to notify Congress of $60bn Saudi arms deal

The Pentagon is set to notify the US Congress of a $60bn (£39bn) weapons sale to Saudi Arabia, reports quoting US officials say.

The deal to sell advanced military aircraft to the Saudi kingdom is aimed at shoring up an Arab ally against Iran, the Wall Street Journal reported.

The BBC's Paul Adams in Washington says the administration is unlikely to encounter much opposition to the sale of weaponry to a traditional ally and will probably argue that it is all part of a strategy to bolster friendly Arab governments in the face of growing strategic threats from Iran.

we all sell hardware to SA, the middle east hates them because of their western "relations" but can't attack them because of mecca (and all the money/guns we trade with them), and so they make an excellent customer.

of course it is cut down hardware with old tech in it and they are permanently dependent on us for spare parts, which with aircraft means they wouldn't be able to stand up to the people who sell them the stuff for long if they had to.

its not only saudi arabia that is close to america. egypt is another big culprit.

israel/america is bribing that little snake hosni mubarak with 3 billion a year.
 
It's all just a game of Chess, Iranian's bolster their military. The West bolsters our middle eastern allies...

What will happen? Stalemate, Status quo, hopefully... Leaving Iraq should help that.
