How successfully will this setup run BF3?

I'm looking to get a new setup along these lines to replace my abysmal current one which is torture to play the game with in lowest settings. Originally I was looking at a £900+ setup that included the 6970 but decided it was a bit above my price range. How well do people think this setup will handle BF3 in terms of frame rate and smoothness and what settings may I be able to run into it?

Oh and I may be swapping the HDD with my old HDD and throwing an SSD in there until HDD prices fall back down, so Im wondering about the impacts of that also.

My current monitor is @ 1920x1080 also

On another note does any experts know if this setup will fit in the case alright? I heard someone mention something about it not all fitting together but Im no expert and am currently unsure and looking to do more research regarding that.

I'm no expert on builds, but that will play it just fine. I play it ok with my awful rig (seen in sig). Granted its on lowest settings, and get a bit of lag now and again, but you will play it fine at a humane resolution :P

I will hopefully be running it at 1920x1080 :) at the moment Im running it at lowest settings at 1048x768 (or whatever that resolution is, i forget) and I run at a max of an unstable 30fps on small maps usually averaging about an unstable 15fps with freezes and regular sound cutouts. It's quite comical how bad it is really :P

Not to far from my build, maxed you will get around 45-60fps, on high you will get 50-60fps, in other words it will look amazing and play really smooth, eat your heart out console owners. I am pretty sure the 560Ti and the 6950 are pretty much neck and neck. You may want to look at a card with more then 1gb for the future though. You could cut a couple of prices to make up the more vram card I think.

Got a similar build but 4gb memory and z68xp-ud3 runs on high no problems, never felt the need to go ultra but i dare say it would run it

Indeed save a few quid on the mobo ala gigabyte z68-ap around £80 and put the extra towards a 2 gig gpu

I'd say get the 2gb version of the 560 ti bud

I just got one and it's running bf3 online with high and ultra settings at 58fps usually

Goes between 50 and 60 though, apart from that it looks a pretty decent setup :)

Have a look at the memory below, the cooler may interfear with the heatsinks on the ram:

All should fit in the case ok, what is the make / model of the PSU being used.

Yeah been reading a lot about this issue the past couple of days unfortunately I have already bought the vengeance ram. I found some info on some other forums in the end that suggests a CM hyper 212 evo should fit if used in the farthest slots away from the cpu leaving the slot closest to the cpu empty. Also apparently you can move the fan up slightly on the heat sink to give it enough clearance. The parts are arriving tomorrow so I will have a play over the weekend.

So prob worth saving yourself some hassle and going for the low profile vengeance I would have done in hind sight.

Another vote for the 2GB card, I have a couple of of the OCUK Palit cards @ £199 and they both oc fine to 950Mhz with a little vcore bump.
