For that amount of money you can easily get a 24inch screen, 4GB Of Memory and a Quad Core. Mind if i redo your spec?
i dont need anythignn for a Quad core, as i do no encoding. i meant to put in 4GB, so ill guess ill give out the sound card and something else for the extra 2GB, and a 24" would be too much for my desk.

- 1 lower chamber 120mm TriCool™ fan (standard)
- 1 front 120mm fan (optional)

becuase you do look at your case all day long.
Its a mirror finish p182....i look at mine half the day and its just a standard one :p But no, none of the extra cables are really needed.

You don't get day-glo ones though ;)
which you won't be able to see as the p182 doesn't have a windowed side
that above pc kicks your specs ass imho especially including the ultrasharp 24"
which you say you don't have room for but you must make room an 8800gtx is complete overkill for a 20" monitor + the logitech z5500's this will be an amazing pc.

well what benefits from having 4gb apart from a few apps
can't think of any games that use much over 1.75 gigs let alone 4

Erm......lets think?

vista superfetch?

games to come in the future?

the fact spending nearly 2k should get you some of the best hardware?

Not so much now, but if you are spending this type of cash, get the better modules fitted now (2 x 2GB) and be done. With Vista hungry for RAM, and a few decent games coming out soon, when you spend 1900 quid you want some sort of future-proofing ...

so you buy another set when and if you need it vista releases the cached memory for games bf2 is the only game i can think of that eats up 90% of ram.
sell the 6400 2gig and upgrade when needed when better 2gig sticks are out
by the time everyone wants 2gb sticks they will want ddr3 2 gb sticks
but my advice is steer clear of vista completely for at least
another year.

What planet are you on?

When spending nearlly 2K their is no reason not to get 4GB of Memory. 2GB is fine but 4GB just makes Vista much snaipier and will help with future games.

DDR3 wont come into play for quite a while yet.

And stay clear of Vista for another year, what sort of advice is that?

It could work flawlessely for him, theirs no reason not to try vista.
