Hi Guys

I'm sorry if this question has been answered before, but I was unable to find any info on it.

I'm starting my first watercooling rig soon, and I have had many questions answered already, appart from this one, might be a silly question but here goes

How tight do the barbs have to be, do you do them up with a spanner???? or just hand tight????

Thanks guys

Acrylic tops are reasonable easy to crack by overtightening, but even still you wuold need to really overdo it. Most other materials are pretty resiliant.

Done mine up reasonable tight with a spanner, you have to be fairly heavy handed to brake something.

I've cracked an acrylic top of a cpu block, don't think I put unreasonable torque on it. Solution I've found is to stop using transparent plastics and move to acetal/delrin, no issues with these yet.

I could just tighten a bit less, but this doesn't seem to work out in practice. May need to start using a torque wrench on them :)
