I went for it and got the 2407 this morning, cracking monitor, but a niggle, have got my macbook plugged in via VGA and the text looks a little fuzzy,,,
When i auto adjust it gets it just right but then "fuzzes" it right at the end, and it seems the sharpness option in the OSD is greyed out so i can't change it :(

Is this due to it being plugged into VGA as its starting to hurt my head now?

options for sharpness and pixel pitch etc should be available through the OSD when using VGA. Have you got DVI connected at same time to another PC?

Cant select sharpness, have got Pixel Clock available but not sharpness, ohh well, seems playing with the contrast and brightness has helped.

Cheers anyway.

Are you using native resolution, and have you used the monitors auto-adjust feature? Is the VGA lead you're using the one that came with the monitor, cause not all VGA leads can handle high resolutions. You shouldn't need to adjust sharpness to get text looking clear, but that still doesn't explain why it's greyed out.

VGA cable is the one form the box

Just had a play, on 1680*1050 i can change sharpness, wide mode etc.
However, 1920*1200 i cannot :S

Am i missing something obvious here?

Sharpness has no relevance at native res because the screen doesn't need to do any processing, it just displays the signal directly 1:1. When it's displaying lower resolutions though it has to scale it up to fill the screen, and it let's you control the sharpness of the algorithm doing the scaling.

Same thing with aspect ratio - it just assumes you would always want 1920*1200 to displayed 1:1 since that's the native res.
