I think I spotted you driving along the A1231 the other week, can't imagine there being too many other bright yellow Skoda pick ups going around haha!
there is ONE more in sunderland. It's got black wheels, a yellow sunstrip and it's been resprayed into the same shade of yellow. the guy who drives it is older than me. I've met him once. I'm 21 and look a bit like a hippy ha ha.

There is another one in the Durham/Bishop area. I pass it regularly and it's an S reg. I passed it tonight actually, and was going to check up, as I always thought it must be RB's too
might be the same one as above. there was one in durham which got slaughtered. he chucekd the original interior and body kit, which was silly IMHO. and painted it a funny yellow / green colour with a red vinyl on the side. also had a completly chaved up front bumber and spinners.

Part Two
I’ve not been making progress as fast as I would have liked lately, but I’m going to throw this update out there early. I’ve been busy filling university application forms in but I’ll be back on painting track soon.
The next element of the design is going to be some metal plates; hardly contemporary- but this bonnet is about elements and effects that I like, and that I want on my bonnet.
The plates are going to lie under half of the flames.
I start with a centre line, and I draw onto the bonnet with a white stabilo. I mirror the lines as I go. I do this by using a large triangle template and mark the lines on it with the stabile. I do a line on one side, then mirror it on the other.
I use blue fine line tape this time. It’s a less flexible than the green stuff so it gives me straighter lines. I mask off around the edges, then trim the ends of the tape where they cross.
Then I mask out the centre of the bonnet. It will not really matter if overspray lands in the middle but it’s best practice to avoid it when you can.
Now I need to mask out some panels using 1” blue tape. I create several panels like this.
I start with a translucent black and lightly shade around the edges of the panel. Then I go in with one of my favourite tones of milky-candy-rusty-stuff It’s a little bit like a candy except it is not fully translucent, as it does have talcum particles within it. So it will eventually form an opaque layer if sprayed enough, but for the most part it can be used as a candy. Because of this character it is perfect for doing light, medium or heavy rust effects. I add it over the black and in different spots.
I add more black, and different rust shades then remove the masking.
Now I need to ‘back-mask’ the panels I’ve just painted. The paint dries enough to mask it quickly with no danger. I put the tape right up to the edge and trim the corners square.
I repeat similar steps as I did before but this time I add some diamond plate on selected panels.
I add some rivets to complete the look. I may change these later as I’m not entirely happy with them.
Next step while I have it all masked up is to add the drop shadow for the flames. Remember than the yellow flames are still under all of that masking. The drop shadow looks messy now but once the masking is removed it will be sharp and crisp.
Next step is a surprise.
