Scenario:
I work at a school as contracted IT tech, sometimes the company sends me off to scotland etc.. but for the most part i'm daily at this place. I got to know a rather nice young lass while i was with someone. Last year she asked me out to go to lunch during a half term, but ended up busy i guess.
This year i broke up with my missus. Was chatting to the one at work and she asked me to the cinema. Now i know i shoulda kept my trap shut but i inadvertanly told two people about it and that i thought maybe she fancied me. As you can guess, word got back to the girl and she cancelled plans. She met me today and basically told me she likes being around men as friends (but is not lesbian) and hangs out with us a lot but i misread it all. Is this grounds for me totally not seeing her around at all or is this friendship recoverable, i feel so damn embarrased tbh :)
 
Say sorry, ask her out for drinks as friends and don't mention it again.

See what happens in the future.
 
You decide if it's recoverable. If your a pussy then forget it, if you more than 2 squirts of testosterone in you then you can get over it. It's more about you than her.
 
I've already said i was sorry about the whole affair. Just hoping things aren't going to be 'odd' with us from now i suppose.
 
Theres nothing wrong about that lol...id be surprised if she didnt understand. Just say sorry and pretend it never happened.

Also ask her back to the cinema as an apology!
