Them ****ers.

Could do it on Firefox with Adblock plus but not on Google Chrome, even with ABP installed.

Any ideas?

I could have sworn that adblock plus blocked them as I was using chrome a week or so ago and I am pretty sure cause I tried the normal adblock out and they showed for it..........

And now that is diff another reason why firefox is better in some ways than chrome, actually blocks all ads! :p

Yeah I thought it did but the option to block the ads is ticked under the settings in ABP but they still get through

Firefox is such a resource hog and I much prefer Chrome now so it's a shame really :(

Yup! I hate it as well!

Complete opposite for me! :p

Firefox, I have 8 addons installed with 5 user styles.

Chome, I have 7 addons installed with 2 user styles.

And plus firefox has been opened for hours now where as chrome I just launched there to do the comparison, generally the browsers use a bit more RAM after a certain period of time I find.

Not too bothered though either way as I don't run out of RAM unless I have loads of things running in the background with a game running! :p

People still get concerned about browser memory usage in this day and age. *gasps!*

Also, Nexus stole my browser layout!

New versions of Adblock Plus now have a feature that is enabled by default that will "Allow non-intrusive advertising" that the author has deemed appropriate*. I believe Google Adwords, etc is one of the ones on this whitelist. I'm not even joking.

Check your filter preferences to make sure this isn't switched on.

* By "deemed appropriate" I mean "accepted a fat cheque from the advertisers"

How do you think the plugin got approved by Google for use on Chrome?

I have the option enabled and I don't see ANY adverts in ANY Flash videos so that argument flies out the window.

It wasn't an argument

I wasn't even stating that it would definitively fix the problem, I merely mentioned it as maybe it was related?
