how to block phone and txts from certain numbers?

over the weekend i have started to get txts and calls from a
00277******** number and also from a 00278 number. i have no idea how thay have got my number is there any way of getting these blocked? im with orange?

some phones have a built in number barring facility (I know cos my girlfriend blocked me, grr, by accident). You could also try typing the number into google as it may be a phone company trying to get you to renew a contract.

there is software available if you're using a symbian phone. probably is for windows mobile as well. it works well

im on a cheep motorola phone so dont have any of that, an im pay as i go.
Would orange block these if i phoned them.
did a google on the numbers and there both from south africa.

Unfortunately the mobile networks cannot block them.
