I downloaded this lastnight and had a little play,I have a few questions which I'm hoping maybe answered by more knowledgeable people and people who have been using this program for awhile.
1. global settings is this a general setting for all games instead of individual profiles for each game? Or do you have to make a profile for every game? I also noticed that before I made profiles for games when I played a game when just global settings where set the osd did not come up any reason for this is it that radeo pro is not active (As I don't really see the point in different profiles for each and every game when I'm going to use the same settings for all Smaa and dynamic vsync)
2. Is there a button to hide the osd?(the one that shows gpu temp clocks and so on)
3. Is there any benefit/worth the performance hit in running Smaa alongside say mxaa?
4. Anyone have any recommended settings for best graphics? (Running a 7950 1150/1450 i5 2500k @4.4ghz)
5. Is there much benefit/need to make radeon pro to change the aero setting to basic for windows display?
Thankyou Chris
1. Yes. Global settings will apply to all games. I believe there's a setting that means it applies only to games for which there exists a profile already, but that's not the default.
Any changes made in individual profiles will override whatever you have in global.
In my global, I tend to have lots of "leave as application", and make changes just in individual profiles.
2. I am not using the current beta. The old version doesn't have the OSD displayed by default, so there will be a way to switch it off. Look for a button along the top of the main window labelled Preferences or Settings.
3. I doubt it. One or the other, I'd expect, though I'm no expert.
4. This will vary from game to game. Note though, it's always best to change settings within game, and use CCC or RadeonPro for those settings that aren't easily tweaked within the game, or for features the game doesn't support (like adaptive VSync). With your rig, I'd suggest just turning every setting to maximum in every game you play, and then only if you are having performance problems with the odd game, start turning them down.
5. That's one global setting I always have on. With your card, it's unlikely you'll need it, but if Windows decides its running low on video memory, it'll drop you back to desktop with a dialog to switch aero off. So best avoid that problem before it starts.
