I have just got a second LG E2442V BN monitor, I was wondering how would I go about calibrating the two screens so the colours are the same as both?

I am using the same osd settings and I've run windows 7 calibration tool and used the same settings on both screens. But no dice. The new monitor is connected via HDMI and the old monitor connected via DVI.

The hdmi monitor has a yellow tint to it wheras the "old" monitor connected via dvi looks perfect.

My first thought is I need to use the same connection method for both monitors but I'm not sure if that will solve it.

Can I get some help please?

Thanks

There is a weird setting in windows 7 in the colour management window where you have to go through a few advanced menus (their name escapes me) to find a checkbox to allow you to use custom .icc profiles.

However, to solve tinting you're going to really need to use a calibrator. That'll really be the only way to make sure both monitors appear exactly the same.

I found the colour management window but its a mystery to me and I dont know what Im doing...

Calibrator like a hardware calibrator? I'll just put up with it then.

Yeah, you'd really need a hardware calibrator.

Tbh for 160ish for an i1 dipsplay pro or less for a colourmunki, I think it's a good investment.
