How to catch a Mole

I have been plagued by moles in the last few years. Since the demise of your tradditional mole catchers, our area is full of them.

For most of the year they stay in the farmers field behind us, but Sept - Dec they migrate into our garden.

So this year I decided to make a video of how to catch the little blighters

(Warning : Does show a trapped / dead mole)

Thought this would be the best sub forum to post it and may help some if you get them in your garden.
 
My father-in-law uses a gun-like device that sets off a starting pistol cap when triggered.

Apparently the air pressure shock wave explodes their lungs and death is pretty instantanious. According to him it's approved by the German equivalent of the RSPCA or something.

All I know is, he handed me the gun to look at while in their consevatory. He didn't realise it was loaded and the ****ing thing went off in my hand.

I now know what it feels like to be flashbanged.

Illegal in the UK unless you know the run is empty though...

Just buy a simple metal trap, readup and watch a vid on how best to set it.
