How to change back to the windows 7 alt tab menu?

Basically explorer.exe crashed earlier so i had to restart, now my alt tab menu looks like this

and i'd like to get back to looking like this

Anyone know how? Using windows 7.

Mods are fast at moving and i didnt even know this section existed

There's a setting somewhere to restart Aero. I think that's what has gone wrong - try looking for help on that.

Looks like aero has stopped working.
open control panel and search for "aero", then follow the link that pops up with:

Find and fix problems with transparency and other visual effects

Or

Go into the themes area, pick on a non-basic theme and it should re-enable it.

Don't recommend this but it's an option!

Cheers guys got it. Had to change theme, close desktop window manager and then troubleshoot aero and its finally done
