How To Change Folder Icons?

I downloaded a desktop icon pack (in .png format). How can I change my folder icons to these? When I try to change the icons to these files (via properties > customise etc) , Windows says "the file ......../.png contains no icons".

It seems to be wanting a .ico file but you must be able to use these .png's somehow, no?

Programs like Rocketdock or Objectdock could use the .png but Windows folders will need .ico. There are a few websites that will convert .png to .ico for you or you could get a free trial of Axialis Icon Workshop.

icofx is a free program that can batch convert png to ico.
