Hi there, i've recently upgraded to an official copy of windows due to a serious keylogger error that hijacked my system processess.

Anyway, i've installed some 15 programs now while always having to change the default save directory from C://Program files to D://I usually create my own folder names so they are easier to find, i hope this will never interfere with their running...

Anway, there was a macro or something last time, perhaps a registry change i needed to make in order for it to know where to put the files. Any ideas guys?

Thanks in advance

Most programs will have their own defaults built into the installer that comes with them.

Run regedit

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion

Find ProgramFilesDir whose default should be C:\Program Files

Change this to whatever directory you wish. e.g D:\Program Files
