How to claim?

It's all being logged - parents took me to a lot of it and took time off to look after me as I was unable to do simple things myself for couple of days. Turns out I can't claim for that and it should have been all taxis and staying in hotels etc being waited on 'to save money' as opposed to paying them a daily rate for holiday etc....

confirmed frame is write-off. Bent 1" out of true on rear end so shows how hard they hit me considering the wheel was split too.

After all this time managed to go through the house insurance - they came back with a rubbish suggested offer that wouldn't even cover the bike and holiday I lost!

Words were had... things are never simple.

Why do cyclists think if they damage a car they don't need to pay for damages because they're not insured, but when a car damages their bike they expect to the driver's insurance to pay for everything?

Because those kinds of people are rarely cyclists but epitomise everything I dislike about how the UK lacks basic respect and common sense now.

I damage something I expect to pay for it because it's only right. I expect the same back.

And pushbikes cost more than some cars now and when something is going to break the cyclist gets hurt.../
