How to clone an m.2 pcie4 drive to a bigger one with only one socket?

Was thinking of replacing the m.2 drive in my laptop to a bigger one since its only 128gb but it only has one socket so i thought get a usb adapter and clone it that pay but all say they are not compatible with nvme, only msata.

what am i missing is there an adapter out there or some other way to do it?

Only SATA ones. He has a PCIE drive, so it won’t work.

actaull im not sure. physicaly its got no 2nd notch so i think its a nvme but the interenet seems to be in dissagrement that pcie ones actually work in it.
