So i'm planning to buy a 1tb Samsung EVO that iu want to use for my boot and gaming drive. But how do i do it. My original plan was to buy the drive and have the local PC shop install and set it up for me, but they were planning to charge me £140+vat for that.

How do i clone the drive thats installed already, install the new SSD as boot, and then install the old mech drive as a storage drive.

Please note i'm not a tech savy person :D

what motherboard? you can download Samsung's own data migration tool and clone it with that or follow this guide using macrium reflect, both software are similar in the way you clone

only have your old os drive and new drive connected when cloning, once done connect any other hdd's and set the new ssd as first boot device in the bios (if on an older motherboard makesure the sata ports are set to ahci mode)
