how to close a steam account?

just because you bought all those things for him doesnt mean that he then becomes yours.
Let him make the decisions by himself, he'll get bored of cheating soon most likely and appreciate a fairer game.

I think you have a point actually. We've all seen atleast videos of hacking going and I know when I play CS, I visualise the lines that are common in hacks to line my shots up etc. :)
 
His 13, yes i let him make decsions himself, but i also want him to learn consequences and this will be one of the ways i'll do it. If he bought this account himself then he could cheat to his hearts content.

Let him learn there is more authority than just family.

I do agree with the person who stated that almost everyone who is a top player has tried cheats.
If someone is a regular cheat then fair enough, burn the witch.
Iv used cheats, I and my friends have had a lot of funny games when we'v all used cheats.
Using cheats can often up a players game when they ditch the cheats as soon as they get their aim back, as they have witnessed first hand where certain bodyparts and camping spots are in relation to their position through walls etc, aswell as seen how players generally act in certain places when behind walls.
Personally when I used cheats it only made me a better player once I decided it was no fun anymore, I had an edge due to experiences of once seeing through certain walls etc.

its called spatial awareness, you don't need a cheat to get it. guesstimating roughly where people are lets you shoot at people as you come out a door anyway. but you are MUCH better off, and end up a hugely, absolutely hugely better player if you don't do what you've said. because you get used to particular spots, pre aim them come through the door, and I, knowing theres loads of people who play like you, stand somewhere completely in the open, safe as houses, and destroy you :p

the tactic of a game where everyone has played the map half abillion times is to be where people DON'T expect you to be, not exactly where everyone expects you to be. if you camp in the normal places, and shoot at the normal camping spots you won't be a good player.

as to the post before mine, agreed, this is a non issue. you bought him a gift, he can use said gift however he wants. you could either point out to him that there could be a bunch of people on servers he's cheating whose time he is wasting and making people angry. or you can just screw him for no real reason at all.

if he keeps cheating, but you get him caught or you change his access then he won't learn that cheating is wrong/will get him caught. he will just do it again and not tell you. if he directly gets banned for cheating without your intervention he will LEARN, that cheating ain't worth the hassel after he gets banned/bored with it and everyones better off.

completely given up on CS:S as it is because of cheaters, so i'm of the hating cheaters completely persuasion. on the highest ranked uk server i did enjoy it, but there were those games where you just get really angry because it seems to be stupidly unfair. a clan on there asked me to join, i joined briefly, within half a day found out they were ghosting, and it was clear from a few people who had played in other clans that its incredibly widespread and ridiculous.

there was a thread on ocuk where some idiot though ghosting was a tactic and fair and that the team leader if dead should do it. he didn't seem to get it was cheating, and made it unbalanced, unfair and irritating as hell for non cheaters to play. pretty much gave up CS:S that day as didn't seem any point going back to that server, and considering it was the top ranked one there aren't/weren't any other good servers to go to really.
 
i agree cheaters are the scum of the world, why not just show your bro this thread haha :D.

and drunkenmaster how did your clan ghost, was it on public or in a pcw/official? as there is no way you should be able to ghost in a pcw without using a wallhack, and ghosting on public is no real problem because it's public, it's the server owners fault for not enforcing forcechasecam.

you learn spacial awareness a hell of a lot faster when you'v seen everyone through a wall with a wallhack mate, theres a reason why all the wallbang maps were released, because its easier to aim at certain locations through walls accurately if you can picture seeing through that wall once upon a time, be it through a wallhack or the wallbang maps..

He'll learn cheating is boring soon enough, unless hes a glory hunter whos only dream in life is to be a pro-gamer or whatever.
