The Riva tuner Statistics Server window will not close, I click the X and it disappears only to reappear a few seconds latter. I have it set to not start with windows, but it starts up every time regardless, even going into task manager and ending the process, it still comes back up.

Its doing my head in. I do not want to have to uninstall Afterburner as I use to for clocking my 970.

Please help

I have tried to stop it opening, the only way is to uninstall the RTSS component via windows add/remove programs

You lose the ability to have an overlay doing this tho, also you cant get Frametime information from the AB graphs either.

Riva Tuner shows up in my uninstall programs list in control panel, so if you don't want it just get rid of it.

Mine does the same BTW if I try to close it, it just restarts itself.

Riva tuner is linked with MSI Afterburner (and maybe some other OC programs) and will start when you start afterburner (or other OC program). AB is more of a skin and Riva tuner does the work.

But I've been running Afterburner for years, without the statistics server and only recently did I turn it on. Now I cannot turn it off.

I can disable it, make sure you have all the options in the monitoring graphs unchecked to not use OSD and automatic fan control disabled, it should then close.

If you use any of these features you can't disable it
