Hello.

Im thinking of doing another format some time soon.

When i formatted my pc last time, id start up my PC and a screen would come up asking me which windows to select, i managed to edit some options on my PC to skip this screen, so it would just boot up my PC normally.

What i want to know, is how can i remove these empty windows XP's, so they are completly moved from my pc. So that they are completly gone off my system.

Thanks in advance.

The trick is to make the time so quick that you dont see them and it picks the option you want. Been a bit since I done this???

You have to go into the run option and type "msconfig" go to the BOOT.INI section and all the timings are located in there. you can amend the timings and select the operating system u want and the pic will wait 1 second and pick the default you have chosen and load it up quicker.

This will not remove the other folders though. I cant help you there sorry.

Hope this helps :)

Sounds like you didn't reformat last time - just did a new installation of XP.

As already mentioned, if you format an existing partition or delete and re-create the partitions then all previous versions will be cleared

Right click my computer >Advanced>Startup and Recovery>Settings>

From here u can choose the defaul O/S to load so that way u dont even get the window or u can click or click edit and delete the WinXP line u dont want loading each time.

Caution though backup the system.ini file before doing so u dont wanna delete the wrong windows!
