How to Connect an iPhone into VW Polo Sound System?

Hi all.

Does anyone know how I can connect an iPhone directly into a 2001/2002 VW Polo sound system?

There's no visual jack plug socket on the front and I've heard it might be possible to connect it through the back of the tape player?

There's people talking about a VW kit, but quoting stupid money for it.

Does anyone know how / what equipment is required? p.s. I'm not looking to use the method that plays it through the radio frequency, as the quality is terrible!

It connects to the CD changer port on the back of the tape player.

You'll need to find out which tape player you have got to find the right adapter.

They are around £50 plus fitting.

Though for £100 you can get a decent Pioneer headunit which might be a better option - i.e. will give you CD player, aux input etc.

Connects2 should do something which will enable you to connect your iPhone to your stereo. I use one in my Golf and it works really well and took 30 minutes to fit. They usually connect via the CD changed port on the back of the stereo.
