Hi, so I'm a bit inexperienced when it comes to all this, but I purchased a Yamaha RX-V667 at the weekend along with a set of Tannoy SFX5.1 speakers. Really happy with them so far, but have a bit of an issue I can't seem to figure out. I'm using my HTPC connected to the TV via HDMI through a GTX460, but I have a Xonar DS soundcard I want the audio to go through.

Any ideas how to fix this? Cheers.

Does that card do sound over hdmi?

If it does and is selected currently you just need to go into windows sound options and switch audio out to asus xonar spdif (optical) or standard stereo. So basically change the audio device which outputs.

I take it your amp has analogue inputs?
The DACs in the soundcard are possibly better than those in the amp anyway.
Use 3 x

That card outputs audio over HDMI. It also bit streams HD audio over HDMI to your AV receiver.

I would forget the Xonar and just run the audio over the 460.
