Good Evening :)

I have a iMac computer, well 17 of them to be honest :p

I am in the process of building the master image for the iMac ready to be deployed to the other 7 iMac's :) (with some help lol )

Once i have finished installing all the software what's the "mac" way of creating a whole system image ?

Is it in the Disk Utility program ? what type of file should it be.

I think last time i did this i sent the hard drive master image to a external hard drive then copied it to the mac mini server which we then deployed to the others on the network, network booting them holding down the "n" key i thing it was.

Any info/advice/links to anything about building and deploying mac images would be greatly appreciated :)

Thanks Ben

The proper Apple way of deploying images to multiple clients is using Apple Software Restore (ASR), this is what I used to use for our Mac lab.

However we now use Symantec Ghost as it now supports HFS and all our Macs use Intel processors.
