How to delete large unwanted folder from external hard drive

Well something weird has happened at some point on my wd duo external i have a huge file of my old computer ,i have copied this to another drive just in case sensitive info but it is it is over 2tb but no photos on it how do i go about removing from external drive my c drive is only 1tb so will this cause a conflict it has over a million items on it i am guessing it is probably music files from somewhere created in 2020 .No it is lrc previews but surely lightroom will not see them on a external drive ,not wanting to ruin another lightroom catalogue

If nothing is important on it, just do a quick format?

Select file, press delete key on keyboard.

Sometimes if the directory has millions of files it will just forever.

If the hd has nothing or importance just do quick format

the hdd drive has 7-8 tb of raid array Lightroom images and I have just started a new lightroom catalogue on my PC with at moment 35,000 raw images labeled ,I can migrate stuff to a new drive I have just purchased a Seagate iron wolf pro 16tb ,but then I would have no redundancy and my library catalogue would need reinstating.can not believe I did not set a cache size much smaller in Lightroom for previews

Probably good idea to hold shift prior to delete so it bypasses recycle bin as that will take longer also

Use treesize to do a breakdown first and see whats actually taking up all that space and whether it should be deleted
