How to describe a paper round on a CV...?

News Consultant, specialising in delivery operations : news to the news-hungry day in, day out. No stone unturned, no shocker unexposed, no English non-bastardised!

Proof - if proof be need be - that you're the holding pattern of the news felch to your CV's spurting whiteness.

Hope you get the job :)

Depends if you are struggling to find things to put on it. I would say Gold would be worth it, but otherwise it looks like you could not be bothered to do the rest.

I disagree. It shows i could manage my time at an early age (Finishing before school) and willingness to go out in the big world and earn money - dedication and so on. I was only young! :p

No it really doesn't... no employer would give a ****! Leave it off or it will look ridiculous, childish even, next to serious employment history.

I have to agree with the people saying to leave it out. No employer is going to look at that and think "wow he did a paper round for over a year he must be really committed". They're much more likely to think you're a bit silly for including it.

Regards the MOD don't mention that under previous employment, it just looks like you were fired and also won't go down well. This would be a good thing to mention in the interview though.

I guess it cant do any harm

I couldn't disagree more, they'll think he's an idiot and bin his CV. Pretty much every job these days will get lots of applicants so employers just skim read CVs at the initial stages. "Paper round" will be the thing that stands out because it's just so ridicules to include it.

In reflection, i do have a LOT to write about Tesco and all my different roles...it'll just mean i'll have one thing under the header 'Work History' and two under 'Work Experience'.

Thanks again.
