How to Disable 4870 Downclocking?

So I've been playing this free MMO in window mode and I noticed that the clockspeeds on my 4870 doesn't go full speed and it slows the game when playing. Is it coz of windows mode? Anyways, I prefer playing in windows mode and I would like to have the card run fully at all times. Is there any way of doing this? I have the latest Catalyst drivers installed.

Is your framerate not high enough? Do you really want to take an electricity bill hit because this one free mmo doesn't have the card running at full speed while in window mode?

You can use rivatuner to force clocks. Or you can edit the bios.

The above is correct, edit bios or rivatuner or some other overclocking tool. It's your card not running at full speeds because you're in a window

The 4800 series clock speeds depend on GPU activity, if it's not clocking up to 3D clocks it's because the game isn't using a high enough % of the GPU.
