I recently, brought a computer with an Intel CPU which has HD 4000 graphics. But I also have a nvidia graphics card. How do I disable the inter grated graphics so that it's just the dedicated GPU working?

You can't disable it as it's a part of processor and as is it takes a part in some computing, like QuickSync, for example. It is being done if needed, of course, so that particular part of CPU doesn't work in terms of "overloading", "overheating" or "consuming energy" in day2day jobs. You might disable in BIOS some features (if motherboard allows you to do it) that consume more system resources, like memory buffer, for example; or remove it from display booting queue.
As other people said, by default this part of CPU is not used as typical graphic card, once you connect monitor to dedicated graphic card's socket.
In other words - sleep well :)

There is an option in my bios to disable Intel onboard graphics and also an option to set the amount of RAM used for those onboard Graphics, both are disabled, its in the peripherals menu.

Gigabyte G1 Sniper 5 by the way, 2nd Gigabyte Z87 motherboard ive brought and they both had the option.

It's disabled in my bios too, always has been. It has had no impact on performance at all. I have the top i5 in the Cinebench R15 thread.
