how to disable internet access?

I have recently put both my sons on a contract-600 mins and unlimited texts, however i do not wish them to have internet access via mobile. Is there an easy way to disable this on most handsets?, contract is with vodafone.

Easiest way to do it is to delete or alter the internet settings on the phone.

You could also phone the network and ask them to remove the access.

Didnt think they could? As if you dont have a package, you still get charged when using it?

Id go with the very 1st idea, delete the phones settings

Tell us what phone it is, and im sure someone can point you to the right area!

deleting the settings will just give the opportunity to put them back in.
the network can restrict usage from their end, atleast when connected to the network

If it's a WiMo handset you can download an app called NoData.

I remember when I was on Orange way back when I was at college (~6-7yrs ago) I had to call them to get parental locks taken off my mobile internet... Maybe SPs still offer services such as this, best bet is to give Voda a call and see if they provide any functionality to do so.
