I've tried the usual methods, by checking never notify and editing the registry but the damn UAC notification keeps popping up.

Why can't I disable them?

Control Panel > User Accounts > Change User Account Control settings > move the notch to the lowest setting > OK > restart to fully disable.

You should write a book.

Yes, I tried that and it never worked. After every restart it was enabled again.

I managed to disable it through the registry so all is good now.

Would the better question be, whats causing the UAC notification to pop up in the first place?

UAC was designed to stop malicious software installing itself or changing system settings without the user knowing. You've got the UAC popping up all the time, and if you didn't ask for anything to be done, something must be trying to do something maliciously.

You need to find out what it's trying to install and why.
