how to do chckdisk out of windows

hi there

how do I do a chckdisk on a slave not running any system files on it.

Or is it not worth it.

I have already done scandisk in XP, just wondering if chckdisk /r that I have heard of would make any difference or give me any other options that scandisk doesnt.

Its only for a storage drive not a system drive.

so how do I get it to go into checkdisk its using the xp cd right

and then do I tell it which drive to check using for example c: or d:
