How to enable 1680x1050 in Battlefront?

Having a bit of trouble with Star Wars Battlefront. Basically the only resolutions I can pick in the menus are 800x600, 1024x768, 1152x864, 1280x960, 1280x1024.

I've looked on widescreengamingforum without much like. I've also tried editing the vidmode.ini to remove the resolutions I don't want, and used the /resolution cmdline switch. But whatever I try makes no different, the game still runs in 1280x960 which is the currently selected menu mode.

Anyone been able to get this working in widescreen?

Add this to the shortcut target +szx 1680 +szy 1050

^I think that's for Battlefield 2 - doesn't work in Battlefront

I'm pretty sure that method works for any .exe program with a shortcut and command line.

Oh dear, I've clearly been playing far too much Battlefield 2142

For some reason I quickly skimmed through the title and presumed you were talking about BF2142
